Our Very Last Adventure....I promise!

Well, it may have seemed while we were flying high above the clouds, that all was well. But, apparently, the universe had one more adventure in store for us. We descended over sunny Houston, only to make a bumpy landing at the windy airport. As we sat on the runway, rocking back and forth in high winds, sheets of water blurred the windows.
We sat stuck in the metal torpedo for 20 minutes. But, with the delay out of San Jose, and only 2 hours (originally) for our layover, panic started. When we were finally able to deboard, every slow person ever known to fly, happened to be sitting in front of us.
(I don't think the sign should say Welcome, maybe "Get Comfortable" would be more appropriate!)
We hurried past, when we were able, and made it painlessly through the passport control, thank you computers!
But, as we descended the escalator into the baggage claim and rounded to the corner into customs, all we saw was chaos. The lineups were snaked through the "pylons" and then back around each carousel.
(This doesn't even scratch the surface of the chaos)
Hundreds, or more, people were searching for luggage, for family, for the end of the line up. We asked several people about getting through faster, about making our connection (which was in 1 hour), but everyone said we had to wait, and it shouldn't take too long. Thankfully our bags had been waiting for us so we were able to line up quickly. We got ready to wait. I was told it would only take 35 minutes, but I doubted that was true. After 15 minutes, and only a short distance passed, I started to worry. All of a sudden, a woman in uniform, started yelling to move our lineup. The one we had painstakingly claimed and made it in front of many other travellers. Jan marched and pushed as close to the front as she could, muttering "No way!" under her breath.  It actually helped us save maybe 50 feet. I pushed through with the cart, finding her quickly. The clock was ticking by and at 15 minutes before boarding, I could see the officers checking passports and forms. We made it through, right at boarding, ran to drop off our bags. As we ran off, the guy yelled Terminal A....we were in E, the opposite end of the airport. We ran to the sky train, and the 60 seconds felt like years. As we whizzed past terminals, slowly, it seemed, we found out our gate was A9. We bolted to security where several people let us go ahead of them....it was still so slow. I had to take off my shoes at the last minute, which delayed us precious seconds. And, as we raced around the last corner I was hopeful we would make it. Take off was still minutes away. Gate A8 passed by and we stopped, searching, unable to find 9. A woman stood behind a desk, in front of an empty computer board. It was our gate, already closed. We huffed and puffed, pleading to be let in, but she shook her head. The gate was locked and there was no way for us to get on. Shit.
Here it is....leaving without us!
She promised to help and booked us on the very next flight, at 7am the next morning. It was 7:30pm. The next hour or so was spent calling to book a hotel room, checking travel insurance and trying to locate our bags.

Air Canada claimed not to have them, so we had to change terminals, once again, to speak to United. We were told it would take hours to get them. When we finally spoke to a woman in the baggage office, she assured us we would not be getting our bags tonight. That it wasn't possible as we were in the United States and would have to go through customs with it.....which we already did of course. But, at this point, we were tired and hungry and wanting to leave the bleak landscape of the airport. She wasn't actually interested in helping us as she didn't even use the computer until I insisted she check for our luggage. She offered us an amenity kit: shamoo/conditioner, toothbrush/paste, a razor, 2 packages of shaving cream, and some deoderant (I think we may have gotten the men's version) and we set off to find the shuttle to our hotel.
Not able to find it, a sign, or anyone to ask, we chose instead, to take a taxi. Arriving $22 later (with a 20% tip minimum option) at the hotel, we dropped off our stuff and walked down the road to Subway, the other choice being a restaurant called The Hot Biscuit (need I say more). As we walked in the warm night air towards food, a frog jumped in front of me. It felt like a sign...and as I yelped, Jan turned, and I swear that creature jumped right towards me on that unlit cement. I am not embarrassed to admit that I screamed.
Finally, at about 9pm, we were eating some food, thankful for the clean room and the comfy looking beds. We showered, and sighing over the lack of pyjamas and spending 2 days in the same clothes, curled up into bed.
Our alarms sounded at 4:15, way too early considering the time change of one hour...putting us at 3:15 am. We got ready quickly and were at the airport by 5 am. We checked to see that our luggage was going to be on the flight. And assured that it was, we got through security, found some breakfast, and got to the gate a good half an hour before boarding.
The ordeal was over. Or was it? An announcement came on a few minutes before boarding, informing us of an oil spill on the ramp that needed to be cleaned before we could board. The flight would be delayed 15 minutes. OK, we can do this, no problem. Fifteen minutes later, another announcement, this time that there were maintenance issues and they would keep us informed. I went to the woman and asked about the next flight (I wanted to know my options in case this flight was cancelled!), she informed me it was at 4pm. No way, was I waiting for that!
Finally, we were on board, 45 minutes late, but we were going to make it home today! We were excited to find that the woman, the night before, had booked us the bulkhead seats, right behind first class.
We had tons of leg room. So, this time as we cruise above the clouds, I am sure that I will be home soon. My bags WILL be waiting for me, and I will be able to change my clothes in the next hour. There will be NO MORE excitement!!! I hope. Please keep your fingers crossed!
We made it!

Why shouldn't we go out with a bang?

The two hours to San Jose went fairly quickly and finding a taxi was painless. We arrived at the hostel, (which had a 90% rating on Hostel World) to find a very cheerful receptionist. She was friendly and kind and we were looking forward to a good sleep before our long day of flights. She took us up to our room.....and low and behold, we've booked into another dump.
Why does this keep happening to us? There were no curtains on the window slats, just sheer material that had been draped open. There was a double and a bunk bed which comes below my shoulders at its highest point. The mattresses were thin, the pillows very soft and floppy, and the sheets......well we aren't going to test them out. Jan kept repeating the mantra "just one night, we have to stay here, just one night". Thankfully, that's true. We were originally thinking of staying in San Jose for 3 nights. We would have gone crazy. We didn't hang around, but changed and then took a taxi to a mall to waste the day away. Yael joined us, the hostel was one she had stayed in her first night in the country and she had booked into the dorm room. We ate lunch and spent a couple of hours shopping in stores (none of us bought anything). Jan and I had talked about maybe going to a movie on our last day, since we weren't going to do any sight seeing in the capital. The three of us headed to the basement of the mall and caught the comedy "Trainwreck". Besides the guy in front of me shining the light of his giant smart phone in my face several times, I really enjoyed the movie. It was funny and light. When we bought tickets to the movie, we got to pick our seats too!

(Being silly after the movie!)

We strolled around a bit more (some purchases were made) before going to Pizza Hut, for dinner and for wifi!
SInce I'd had no sleep the night before, I felt like putting my head down for a sleep, straight on the pizza. We got back to the hostel and said goodbye to Yael before heading up for bed.
I wasn't looking forward to getting into the tiny, thin bed but was so tired. I got my bags ready and Jan and I laughed about how ridiculous it was that we had to end our trip in this "shithole" (excuse my french). She also kept repeating her mantra "just one night". It was my turn for the single so the bunkbed was all mine. Though I don't know if I could the raw end of the deal or not.  I couldn't sit up straight on the bed without my head hitting the bottom of the top bunk. Since, I have a thing about materials and fabrics, there's no way I was willing to do that. I cringed at the thought of my hair touching the mattress or the sheets for that matter. So, I gingerly crawled into my sleep sac. I had a bad feeling I was too grossed out to sleep. When it was Jan's turn to get into bed, her bum went straight down and touched the frame, and her feet and head were elevated. Just one night, right?!?
I tossed and turned a lot. Every few hours, I woke excitedly, hoping it was time to get up. Nope, still the middle of the night! Finally at 6:30, we were both awake and waiting for our alarms. As soon as the bathroom freed up, I raced in to shower. A knock on the wall told Jan it was her turn and we switched off, the hostel only has 2 bathrooms. At 8:00, we went down for breakfast where there were signs telling us that we ould only have 1 egg and 1 bagel...seriously. They had tea! Yay, but only coffee creamer, yuk! I grabbed an egg, some mango, and waited for my turn at the toaster oven, where you're bagel could be lightly toasted for 10-15 minutes (dad you would have been waiting for hours). Jan grabbed our peanut butter and we were all set. Jan was already eating by the time my bagel was ready, and when I went to open it up, I noticed a peculiar smell. Yep, that would be garlic bagels....for breakfast. And with peanut butter? Luckily, I finished that before starting in on my egg...prepare yourselves. I peeled the boiled egg and took a bite, the white was a little "jelly" like but not too bad. My next bite was half the yoke, and when I looked down, I spit it out. The yolk was an offwhite colour which was not natural. It was so disgusting.
I actually had a hard time brushing my teeth without throwing up afterwards. Everyone else had yelow yolks, so I guess it was just me. I'm not sure I'll be eating boiled eggs for awhile.
Thankfully, it was time to leave, and not a minute too soon. Until, I saw our ride. When a hostel offers you a shuttle for $30 U.S., you kind of expect a decent car and not an ancient orange station wagon with tweed seats (the worse kind for my phobia). I climbed in the back with a scowl and Jan just laughed at me. My half of the bench seat was not bolted down so every time the driver rocketed, around a corner I was sent rocking forward or backwards....awesome! The city of San Jose is actually quite beautiful though, so the Miami firefighter was a liar! We arrived at the airport, and after paying the $29 U.S. dollars (seriously!!!) to leave Costa Rica, we were checked in and through security. Jan hates United, they charged her $25 for her bag but not me...otherwise all is good. We have had a wonderful trip.
Sad that our trip is over....
So, as I write this flying somewhere over Mexico or the Southern states (heading for our layover in Houston), I reflect and am grateful for this awesome adventure. I couldn't have survived without Jan and am so glad she was my partner in crime. I think we balanced each other well! I'll write one more post after this one....until then!

The Girls are Back in Town!

What a relief to be back in Jaco. The little jaunt to the "resort" to relax, really only made us both stressed out...well me anyways. We had 2 nights back at the hostel "hotel" and we made sure to enjoy the pool time. The day we returned was smoulderingly hot. Not a cloud in the sky, and the sun felt like it would burn your skin to a crisp. We lathered on the sun screen and tried to find the little shade to be had.
We took breaks swimming at the pool when it got to be too hot and read our books the rest of the time. That evening, we chose Graffiti as our restaurant of choice. Yael joined us at the sister restaurant to Side Street where we had had lunch the weekend before. Dinner was amazing. We took a taxi there as it had been raining but then walked back, enjoying the evening. We stopped at an amazing gelato shop for some...gelato. (I had the key lime pie, yum). We turned in early, as the "excitement" of the morning had worn us out.
The next day was not too different. We enjoyed breakfast at the hostel and then spent the morning beside the pool. I caught up on the blog and we enjoyed the heat, though the sky was full of clouds. Just before lunch time, a huge group of kids came in, and I do mean kids, like 16 years old. They filled the pool area, splashing and yelling. Not a good time. We decided to go back to Side Street for lunch so we got dressed and took a taxi over (it's a looooong walk in the heat).

Found this guy on our way back! Don't worry, he had a collar on so somebody loves him!

We enjoyed another delicious lunch before strolling back to the hostel. We continued to relax that afternoon, the "kids" had gone out for a few hours. While hanging out in the water, we met one guy in particular, who we couldn't stop talking about. He claimed to be a firefighter from Miami Beach who "made good investements" and had properties he used for Air B and B to payroll the many vacations he took. According to him, he would take shifts so that instead of working 48 hours and then off for 3 days, he would work 6 and get 8 off. Not sure how this works, but he gave us both the wrong vibe. He asked about 4 times, throughout the conversation, what our plans were for Friday night. We kept repeating that we didn't have any. He also talked a lot about some of the "great parties" he participated in....blah blah blah. His impression of San Jose seemed odd, as he said the place was just a bunch of shacks and not worth the day. He headed up for a nap so him and his friend could get out on the town, but Yael, who shared a room with them, told us the next day that they were in bed when she went up that night! HA....so much for all that talk!
Towards the end of the late afternoon, there was a moment when the pool was almost empty, and I decided it was my chance to go down the waterslide. Jan was going to try to get a picture. I  nervously climbed the ladder and shot down the curved concrete slide. HA....so much fun! It felt pretty tame until, at the last moment, you shoot around the corner and are launched into the air before falling with a huge splash into the pool. I squealed in delight, laughing under water.

I went on a few more times before we got cleaned up and enjoyed some Happy Hour...2 for 1 drinks. Rum and pineapple was our drink of choice and we sat, chatting and drinking with some girls from the hostel. We ordered some delicious pizza, choosing to stay in and not go out. Then, at about 10 we decided to go for a late night swim! We had the pool to ourselves and I took the opportunity to go down the waterslide. Yael and Jan were trying to get pictures and videos so I had to keep going down, over and over again, such a hardship! We did get a good video, and I love that you can hear me laughing right before I hit the water!

I didn't sleep well that night, must have been the adrenaline from the waterslide or too much pineapple juice. At 4:00, I woke myself up laughing! And, because Jan was still sleeping and I know I couldn't laugh, the urge to laugh was stronger. I had a dream that Jan was riding a bike with one wheel, and not a unicycle, which doesn't sound that funny, but evidently it was. In the morning, I woke up I was exhausted and not rested at all. We ate an early breakfast before taking a taxi with Yael to the bus station for our trip to San Jose. Sad to be saying goodbye to this little slice of fun we'd found, but I think we're both ready to be back in our own beds...One more night to go!

There's a whole lot of STD going around!

Sleeping, Tanning, and Drinking is exactly what the doctor ordered! We were grateful to arrive in Jaco. Done with the rain, we had taken a shuttle to the surf town. The shuttle, was a whole other story. Winding it's way through the valleys and over the hills at horrendous speeds. We felt really ill. In fact, I wasn't sure if I was going to keep down my breakfast. I sometimes feel a little sick in car rides, but I was seriously close to throwing up in the garbage can beside me. The guy was speeding up and slamming on his brakes while taking hairpin turns. When we stopped for the break, I couldn't get out fast enough. I jumped out and my tummy was so upset, I took some pepto. Jan sat in the front after that, though the rest of the drive wasn't nearly as bad. I enjoyed the beautiful views whizzing past our windows.

And, in no time, we had arrived at the hostel. The boutique hostel is almost like a hotel. We were so happy to finally be done moving, and since our room wasn't ready, we changed into shorts and ordered some lunch, sitting by the pool. At 2, we were able to check in to the  4 bed dorm with a fan, we had booked. The beds were all singles and not bunk beds. The room was large and.....stifling. We turned on all the fans, but the 2 ceiling fans barely made any movement. The large, portable fan they had in the room didn't rotate so only hit one bed at a time. While we were the only people in the room at the moment, there's no way it would work if more people came, or actually, for both of us. I was super annoyed by the fact that the fan room didn't have fans that would work to keep us cool. I went down to the front desk and just said I wasn't very happy with the room and explained about the fans, hoping they would be able to find us a revolving fan for the room. The owner came out of his office, and heard what I was saying. He pulled me into his office and, after much debating on his part, found us a private ac room with shared bathroom, and an amzing view, for $10 more, each.

We were so excited! The owner was amazing, always checking with us to see how we were doing and we started to finally relax and enjoy the sun. Lounging by the pool, and walking occasionally into town for water or food, we didn't have any cares in the world.

Well maybe one care...sunburn
Drinks and dinner:
It rained, often in the late afternoon or at night, but this was ok because it cooled everything down. The first night, we were so tired, that we headed to bed early, and though we could hear the music pumping below us, it was shut off prompty at 10:45. The next night, we headed into town for dinner and found a party happening when we returned. We had bought these amazing mojitos in a can at the grocery story, but were soon doing jello shots and dancing our little hearts out.
Jello Shots:

The DJ came over and taught me some salsa moves. We had a blast and when 11pm (quiet hour) hit, I wasn't quite ready to head to bed. Everyone was moving into town to continue the party so we went with them. But, the wait, for everyone to get ready, and then the walk, drained us of our party mood. On arrival to the bar, we learned we needed ID, which we didn't have, since we had shoved money into our "pockets" and hadn't brought any wallets. So we happily, turned around and headed home.
Continuing our trend of a pool day, we relaxed the next morning. We had been told about a great restaurant called Side Street so decided to go for lunch the following day.
It was a really hot day and the restaurant was clear on the other side of town. By the time we got there, we were sweaty, hot and tired. But, the restaurant was fabulous and this cheered us up. We ate some delicious food and enjoyed the live music.
When we returned to the hostel that afternoon, we met a guy named Rahim, from San Fran Cisco, who had been in Jaco for his brother's stag. All the guys had gone home but he was leaving that night. He invited us to help him finish his bottle of Grey Goose Vodka, which he couln't take with him.

We really enjoyed his compnay, and he's offered for us to come and visit in San Fran, with him as our tour guide! Sweet! Three vodka pineapple juices later and I was feeling in fine form. When the room started spinning, I guzzled some water and was good to go!
We had booked a resort for 3 nights for some relaxation but decided to return to this same spot  at the end of the week. I'm pretty good at "fighting" for what we should have and Jan's pretty good at asking for stuff after, which has worked out perfectly. She went and talked to the owner about booking again and he was awesome enough to give us the same rate for a private room...and warned us we would hate anywhere else. He also told us, we could come back early if we hated it! haha If he only knew!

Paradise....in Hell

We left Jaco, sadly. But, also, looking forward to a little slice of paradise. We took the bus to Parrita, a short 40 minutes away. Once we arrived, we took a taxi to the resort. When we pulled up, I was, at first, dismayed to find how small it was. I had imagined more of a Mexican resort. This place had 2 buildings with rooms (house sized), and one small reception building. We entered reception, and the man and woman were very friendly, greeting me by name. When we finished up checking in, I asked   about the promotion that we had seen when we booked, offering 2 free dinners each night, if you stay for 3 nights.
We were originally going to only book 2 nights but figured, since we wouldn't be paying for any meals (as breakfast was already included), we could stay the extra night. I had taken a picture of this promo, thank goodness, as they seemed hesitant about the whole ordeal. I had entered a promo code but it didn't seem their booking system takes note of that. When the girl went over to ask Chad, the manager, about it. He said, "Oh ya, but you can only order off these 2 pages, and the restaurant is closed today." Hello? I had come here to relax, and it was a $10 taxi drive into town, which means, $20 both ways. I informed him that we wouldn't have booked Monday, if we knew they were closed and would have booked Tuesday, and that there was nothing like that listed on the website. He, condescendingly, stated that we should not worry and he wouldn't let us starve. I also informed him that the only reason we booked 3 nights was because of the offer so he said he would make sure we had food, even if he had to cook it himself. He "wouldn't let us starve." Well that's nice to know. I made sure we were clear that the cost would be on him. My biggest pet peeve is when people say "Relax", which is what he kept saying. Of course, I'm upset, you tool, you are talking to me like an idiot. Jan, was really against the idea of him cooking, for obvious reasons. And just to give you an image of Chad, he had long brown, scraggly hair and wore loose linen clothes, yet black socks and dress shoes. He told us that wearing sunscreen causes cancer and he prefers to use coconut oil as sun protection on his open pores.
Regardless of the ridiculous hippy wannabe, the room, however was beautiful. We had a towel elephant and swan on our beds, the ac was on and there was a tv. The bathroom was gorgeous, and we even had samples to take with us. We changed and went to the pool where we lazed away the rest of the afternoon.
The frogs have come back!

That night, we requested pizza and it was delivered to our door. We enjoyed it, while watching satellite tv and relaxing. I went to bed at 9. I was so tired. Jan said I slept like the dead...and may have been snoring! hehe I really haven't been sleeping that great!
We enjoyed a pool day the following day.

Originally, we had planned to go to Manuel Antonio park with some poeple we had met in Jaco who were renting a car, but they were still in Jaco at 10:30 (it's a 2 hour drive from Jaco). So we decided to go the next day with Yael, who we had met in La Fortuna, and then also in Jaco. When we called to place our dinner order, which you have to do ahead of time, with the time you'll be eating, they informed us that it was free dinner for 1 person, not 2. Are you kidding me? I had already showed them the picture I had taken of their website. I was so annoyed by this, so I marched down to reception, phone in hand. Before I could even say anything, Chad was telling me that once I was done, he'd like a chance to be heard, what? Heard about what? He wouldn't even look at the picture of the promotion, just saying they'd honour what we'd asked for (like they hadn't advertised it themselves), and that we should only speak to him from now on. He was once again, condescending. Whatever, as long as we got our free food! He also went on to say, he could be charging $150 per room...well why aren't you then? Exactly.
Dinner was pretty good but we had to wait almost half an hour for it, despite the pre-order and having given the time we were going to eat. The portions, weren't very big, and since we'd only had a peanut butter sandwiches for lunch (using bread we stole from breakfast), Jan was pretty hungry. I'd had a huge breakfast so I wasn't as bad. We took full advantage of the tv before crashing again. The next day, we got up early, to meet Yael on the bus to Manuel Antonio, a national park in Costa Rica. We  found her on the bus, whew( we thought maybe we'd missed it). It was a really hot day, and we were already sweating profusely by the time we had walked from the bus station to the front entrance, roughly 1km. We bought tickets to get in, while a guy tried to convince us to hire a guide for $20 each! There were 4 of us! The entrance alone was $16. We wanted a guide but not for that much. We walked away and he came over and offered it for $10 each, as long as we didn't tell anyone. We accepted his offer, but guaranteed, everyone gets that same one unless they pay the $20. We spent the next couple of hours looking at poisonous snakes, crabs, rainbow insects, tree frogs, monkeys, and sloths.

We finished at the beach, which was gorgeous, but full of people and a VERY high tide.
We opted to walk back instead of swimming. We were all exhausted and hot. We had to hand over our snacks at the entrance as anything that makes noise (ie. chip bags) weren't allowed in the park.
On the way back, the monkeys were only a foot away, playing!

We left, checked out the beach by the bus stop for some quick photos and then caught the bus back to Quepos.
Once there, we waited for the next bus to Perrita, (Yael had to wait for a later bus back to Jaco) and off we went. We got back in time for a quick swim in the pool, which was not nearly as refreshing as we'd hoped, since the water was so warm. One more night and then off we go, back to Jaco.
We'd asked our taxi driver the times of the buses for the following morning, and he'd told us 10:30, and 2. Since checkout was at 12, and we didn't want to be sitting around there for 2 hours. We opted for the 10:30 time and asked Chad to book us the taxi and confirm the times.
And here's where the real story begins. We arrive at reception to check out. Two of the managers are in there having a discussion about business, which they don't stop when we enter, nor do they acknowledge our presence. They continue discussing, and struggling over who has more power, for about 5 minutes. Finally, Chad starts to check us out. He prints off our bill and we have some things on there that we didn't get. He removes them, when we notice that the extra appetizer that we had ordered the night before was $10 and not the $5 we had thought. In Costa Rica, Colones are in the thousands. $1 U.S. is 500 Colones (roughly). Well this place had gotten rid of all the zeros and listed our dish as 5 colones instead of 5000, which was the actual cost. No one does this, NO ONE. But he thought this was acceptable. I told him that was not listing the proper price at all and he told me he would "take this into consideration and meditate on it and see what was best for him and his business". Are you freaking kidding me? The lame quesidillas we'd had, which we thought were reasonably priced at 7 dollars, were actually $14! Ha...and pop was $3 for a can. So, basically, this place is a total rip off. Thank goodness for free meals! As we left, Chad made sure to invite us and our families back....I do NOT think so! And the icing on the cake, is Jan's sand flea attack, even though we hadn't gone to the beach. She had bites all over. We haven't even been bitten in places like Ometepe, which, as you'll recall, is one with nature.
I couldn't wait to get away from this place. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. Bad manners, terrible customer service, and super condescending attitude is not my idea of a relaxing time. So much for that idea.
Outside the resort in Parrita:
The taxi arrived and we had just driven out of the driveway when he's telling us that he got the bus times wrong and the bus was due at 10 am, which was the curent time. And the next bus was at 2. Well that's just great. We sat, idling in the middle of the road, having this discussion with him. I figured we'd have a better chance getting anywhere, at the bus station, since this cabbie didn't know a thing about buses (even though, Chad, had insisted he did). We drove along and he was telling us about another bus that would come at 10:40 that goes through Jaco, but only to the outskirts. Better than waiting till 2! All of a sudden, we are driving past the bus station. I asked him to stop but he insisted that the bus we want is only 2 minutes ahead, and he can catch it. He's speeding along the highway, passing traffic, finally passing the bus. He pulls over at a bus stop......and the bus flies right on past. Then, he tells us to get out, we could wait there for the 10:40 bus. We should have insisted he drive us back to the bus station, but we got out. He then refuses to give me proper change, and gets in his car and drives away. What an ASSHOLE.
I was so mad, I could have punched something. I felt so frustrated at the whole ordeal that day, and helpless to do anything. Thank goodness, a bus did come, at 10:45, that took us to Jaco. The taxi ended up being $3 to the hostel. We were so glad to be back. It felt like coming home! We were able to check in early, and went to the room to find 1 double bed. Seems Jan's tired of sleeping with me, so she went down to ask about switching to 2 singles. She got us a better room! Woo hoo! Two beds and our own bathroom. This owner knows about customer service! And now, to enjoy the pool, the sun, and the company for our last couple of beach days!
