Today I decided to go to the Hermitage Museum to see the Van Gogh exhibit that is there while the Van Gogh Museum is under renovations. I went despite the enormous entrance fee and while I loved seeing his work I am not quite sure it was money well spent. The other exhibit was of impressionists such as Monet, Degas, and Renoir, which I enjoy but I have seen them many times since being in Paris. The building itself was neat with the original kitchen in the basement of what used to be a place for seniors to go (mostly women) when they had nowhere else. The kitchen consists if 3 huge kettles bricked in that are so big I could easily fit in one with my whole family. I did some wondering around the main strip and then decided to come back snd relax before my 11 hour bus trip this evening. I have immensely enjoyed my trip to Amsterdam and would return in a heart beat. Now off to London and then Glasgow where I will see my dad in 2 days!!
