Back to Managua

Today, after a quiet morning in the hostel and running errands, such as going to the Atm, we took the minubus back to Managua. The driver tried to get us to pay $150 cordobas when we had paid only $54 cordobas on the way there. He wanted us to pay triple! I knew he was tring to scam us and Jan was the one communicating with him. When Jan turned to get out of the bus, he changed his tune. He may not have charged us the same as everyone else, but he only charged us $60 Cordobas....better than the first offer.
Our hostel here is such a nice oasis in the middle of a bustling city. Very tropical, with a bar that makes delicious  food!

We had some down time before taking a walk down to the mall...just to do something. Look who we ran into!

And here's a picture of the tree that the president put up all over the city for his wife. I wrote about it in my first post of Managua.

Sadly, a pair of my favourite pants bit the bullet today. I was walking in the hostel and Jan told me there was a hole in my pants. I could feel my bum through the hole! I'm not sure how many people saw my bum, but I am more sad that my travel pants from Vietnam didn't last! Booo!

Tomorrow we head to the Corn Islands! YahoooooO!
